It’s World Egg Day. Now go celebrate.

Hatched: Friday, October 9th, 2009

Move over pumpkins, gourds and fall color, harvest season in October is really all about eggs — all around the world.

The International Egg Commission has declared the second Friday of October as World Egg Day. We can get behind that idea and, no surprise here, we’re doing our part to spread the scrambled and poached love.

Need a dozen reasons to celebrate World Egg Day? We thought so. Check out their site and kick your festivities into high gear today.

Trust us, it’s better to have eggs in your belly instead of egg on your face.
